It is very important share useful information with others. Not just because you do, have, make or work, but many of us didn’t have opportunity to experience, or the way that Health care service in the UK always offered treatments and tablets free of charge, hiding many complementary treatments, maybe because they are not free of charge or simply because people do not remember them at all, and with the time, they became unknown or hidden in the fog.
I really enjoy writing, and in Brazilian Portuguese, I write a lot and it is so much easy to write in your own native language, now, after 6 years living in the UK, I became more self-confident to do also in English. I am improving every time that I do, so, please, forgive my mistakes in English, thank you
The following article was wrote last year to the Therapy Directory, a very good website, loads of information and professional therapists offering their service, included myself.
So … let’s go 🙂
Flower Essences Therapy is not popular in the UK, despite the beautiful and unique work from Dr Edward Bach (1886 – 1936). But before start, let me say something about him, and after what Flower Essence Therapy can help you regarding what you are feeling now.
Dr Edward Bach, an English doctor (M.B ( Bachelor of Medicine ), B.S ( Bachelor of Surgery ), M.R.C.S ( Member of the Royal College of Surgeons ), L.R.C.P, ( Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians ), D.P.H ( Diploma of Public Health )) that dedicated all his life to find a way the cure the diseases. In the last few years of his life, after many research and experiment, he finally found 38 remedies, called today Bach Flower Remedies or Bach Flower system.
Using a simple way to prepare, 2 different methods, sunlight and boiling, he found a way to capture the flower essence and imprint in the water their healing proprieties.
The 38 “remedies” support us in our journey in direction to our self-knowledge. Where using the flower essence we can finally discover how to deal with our emotions/feelings/moods and be free to live a happy life.
The flower remedies or essences support us during this process to self-discovering, and we can treat this “invisible component” in a way to minimise health issues, because our emotions will be more in balance and in harmony.
In this article, today, I would like to talk about two flower remedies, Beech and Holly.
Everybody knows them, in the wood we can see beautiful Beech tree and in our garden Holly is everywhere mainly in this time of year, the red berries capture our attention and where Holly is used as a traditional Christmas decoration.
Can you imagine each one? Their details? Close your eyes for a moment…
Let’s start with Beech, a very tall tree, covering woods and its roots are exposed because Beech is not allow other plants to grow and with the time, they can collapse. It can say: I am owner of these woods and I do not want anyone in here, I do not tolerate!
Beech flower remedy, in Dr Bach words: “For those who feel the need to see more good and beauty in all that surrounds them. And, although much appears to be wrong, to have the ability to see the good growing within. So as to be able to be more tolerant, lenient and understanding of the different way each individual and all things are working to their own final perfection.”
And now with Holly, red berries represent a red face, anger and its leaves sharp, saying, do not touch me, you are suspicious, what do you want from me?
Holly flower remedy, in Dr Bach words: “For those who sometimes are attacked by thoughts of such kind as jealousy, envy, revenge, suspicion. For the different forms of vexation. Within themselves they may suffer much, often when there is no real cause for their unhappiness.”
How many times we felt like this? How many times we do not tolerate a behaviour of one that we love, or with ourselves. How many times in these days we are not tolerant with people with different ideas and beliefs.
We all need Beech to help us to be more understanding and see the beauty behind in every living thing, and together with Holly, in moments of stress, when thoughts about revenge, anger, jealousy.
All these feelings invade our state of mind, our soul, covering us with dark clouds and we end up trapped on this vicious circle where happiness is not possible to exist.
How beautiful this combination can support us to exchange these attitudes for others, where our body can experience more peace and comfort, feeling in harmony and non aches and pains.
Bach flower remedies, a gentle and kind way to look after ourselves.
