Continuing the series of Skincare recipe, today I’d like to share the third part of the routine, Face Oils, from my fave Aromatherapy author, Valerie Ann Worwood said in her book “The complete book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy”
Essential oils make marvellous face oils. The base recipes will be following the proportion of 2 tbsp and 30 drops of a selection of essential oils, depending of skin type.
Evenly balanced skin
Normal skin – really is no such thing as normal skin. Or, more correctly, children have normal skin and the rest of us aspire to it. If you are in this category, well done, and stick with gentle oils and you could use almost any essential oil.
Oil base: Almond, Hazelnut, Apricot Kernel
Additional to base oil – Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Borage Seed, Carrot
Essential oils: Chamomile German, Lemon, Fennel, Jasmine, Geranium, Lavender, Bois De Rose, Rose, Frankincense, Neroli, Benzoin, Palmarosa
- 15 drops Rose
- 5 drops Chamomile German
- 5 drops Lavender
- 5 drops Lemon
This moisturiser should be applied to damp skin. Massage it in and then dab the face with a tissue until no excess oil shows on the tissue. Use a bottle 5 ml with pipette to help you with the dosage.
Night care oil – diluted 2 tablespoons Apricot Kernel oil to which you have added
- 10 drops Evening primrose oil. If you feel that your skin needs extra nourishment, add 5 drops of carrot oil.
